This listing is for (1) ONE Vintage 1979 (dated 1976 but released in 1979) Aurora FX Magnatraction G+ G-PLUS STRAIGHT TERMINAL TRACK. Identified by the DIAMOND SHAPED PLUG RECEPTACLES. A typical DIAMOND SHAPED AFX transformer plugs right in. It is Part #2537 & is BULK, no packaging. This version has specific shapes to prevent the transformer from being plugged into a controller slot. Rare to find 15" terminal straights.
The track itself is unused. BUY TWO TO GIVE EACH LANE DEDICATED POWER. Two terminals side by side, each with only One Controller & each with it's own transformer. Now when you squeeze the controller 'x' amount, you get 'x' boost. Previously, your boost was determined by how much the Other driver was pulling from that power source. Another 'secret' dedicated lane power eliminates is: if i wait until the other guy is near a turn, & let off Quickly, he gets an unexpected speed boost & may fly off!
PLEASE NOTE: NO TRACK SECTION IS PERFECT, ALL HAVE STEEL RAILS THAT ARE 35 YEARS OLD. AS SUCH, SOME OXIDATION OR RUST ON THE RAILS IS TO BE EXPECTED. If you are looking for a brand new piece, this is not for you. All track will require at least some rail conditioning with a brown or stiffer Scotch-Brite pad to be very shiny. Blue spots represent areas of the metal that have oxidized over time, forming a blueish coating. WD-40 on a high quality rag will restore the shine & luster to the track. Some track has some plastic 'twist' to it. Each piece can be massaged to be flat if need be.
Listed as used as there is no packaging & obvious oxidizing and tarnishing of metal is apparent. Some plastic discolor & dust or dirt is apparent from age & storage. Item is believed to be Unused, New Old Stock.
